Since the presidential campaigns started on the 9th November 2015, the three leading contenders, President Yoweri Museveni, Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye and Amama Mbabazi have been pulling big crowds of people who are believed to be supporters.

However, the Executive Director of Transparency International, Peter Wandera says presidential aspirants should not be excited by those crowds but should instead deliver convincing messages which can turn them into real voters.

“Politicians are playing mind games on both their rivals and on the voters. In the crowds you have the converted and the voter tourists who don’t vote and then you have the die hards.

It’s up to the aspirants to convince the curious who come to rallies that they have something substantial to contribute” Wandera said.
