An Ebola patient shows how he is being affected by the deadly disease

The death of a Burkinabe at Bawku in Upper East Region, is raising suspicion from health experts of a possible Ebola infection case following symptoms the patient shown before his death.

Sample of the victim?s blood has been taken to Accra, for laboratory test.

The patient whose identity has not been disclosed is said to have come from one of the provinces in Burkina Faso which shares borders with the business district of the Bawku Municipality, and was admitted on Thursday at the Municipal Hospital.

Fear and anxiety in residents in the Municipality is increasing as some families have moved members to the regional capital, Bolgatanga.

A reliable source told the Ghana News Agency in Bawku that a medical team from Ghana has been dispatched to Burkina Faso to follow up on the health history of the patient.

Liberia, Sierra-Leone and Nigeria have already confirmed cases of the disease and reported deaths.
