Following her visit to Seychelles in September 2015, Botswana’s Minister of Education and Skills Development Unity Dow signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Seychelles’ Ministry of Education. The two countries agreed to work together to develop each other’s education systems with the main aim being to see the two countries exchanging both students and professionals.

“We are currently interviewing teachers from Botswana with the possibility of being hired by the government of Seychelles,” said Alcindor. The twenty teachers will be leaving Botswana in the next three or four weeks.

According to Alcindor, Seychelles is in dire need of teachers to teach pure Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), Mathematics and Geography. Enditem
