The Black Stars of Ghana moved to the Summit of Group E for the first time in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers on Saturday after a 1-1 drawn game with the Syli Nationale of Guinea in Casablanca, Morocco.

Captain Asamoah Gyan broke the deadlock halfway through the first half but Ghana could not soak the pressure in the second half as Traore leveled the score line in the 81st minute.

Ghana has leapfrog to the top of the table with 7 points whiles Uganda have slipped to the second spot with 4 points. Guinea occupies the third spot with 4 points whiles the Hawks of Togo comes fourth with 3 points despite their win over Uganda.

Elsewhere, the woes of the reigning African Champions the Super Eagles of Nigeria continued in Khartoum, Sudan as they went down by 1-0 to their Sudanese counterpart courtesy Baberke’s solitary goal.

Two goals from Bongani Ndulula and Tokelo Rantie ensured that the Bafana Bafana renaissance in African football is intact as they defeated Congo by 2-0.
