Ghana whipped her journey to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations around after pipping Togo 3-2 in a five- goal thriller in Lome on Wednesday.
A late goal by Christian Atsu gifted the Black Stars all three points to move to second place on the log with four points.
It was a test of character for the Black Stars who went down early in the first half through Floyd Ayite who beat debutant goalkeeper Stephen Adams at the far post in the 12th minutes.
With their backs against the wall, the team that saw five changes from the squad that drew one all with Uganda in Kumasi on Saturday, responded well.
Soon, Captain Asamoah Gyan drew parity for the visitors with a header while surrounded by two Togolese defenders to send the partisan crowd cold.
Upped by the equaliser, Ghana took a brief control and against the run of play, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu fed on an in-swing from Baba Rahman to put Ghana ahead.
From recess, the Hawks attacked in droves though the pace of the game slowed by the minute. In the 77th minute, Emmanuel Adebayor scored the equaliser for the homers.
With the game looking to be heading to a draw, Atsu dashed Togo’s hopes of picking their first point with five minutes to end proceedings by finishing off a solo move.
