The National Youth Authority is entreating all youth and all other responsible citizens to go about the national biometric registration exercise beginning tomorrow Saturday 24th March, with all decency and decorum.

A statement signed by the Acting National Coordinator Sedina Tamakloe said the exercising of decency and decorum in the registration process is important in order to safeguard the current peaceful democratic dispensation in the country.

´It is in registering that they become eligible to participate in governance in practical terms and have the opportunity to exercise their franchise when the opportunity arises.´ she said.
Madam Tamakloe also noted that ´besides voting, their registration constitutes a precious political weapon in which they can exploit to their advantage in negotiating their future within the perimeters of exercising the political and governance mandate of the political players and stakeholders.´
The national biometric registration exercise starts tomorrow Saturday 24 March and will end on Saturday 5th May 2012.
