Bechem United have cut the sod for the construction of a modern library facility for its players.
The ceremony was graced by Nana Kusi Boadum, Domeabrahene, a patron of the club a few week ago.
The library which is expected to be completed in November next year, will equip players of Bechem United with the needed philosophy of the club as well as empower them with literacy training.
“We are embarking on a lot of projects to take the club to the level of a modern-day soccer side. Like it is done abroad, we don’t want the players to go through the club but rather be part of the club,” Bechem United President Kingsley Owusu- Achau said.
“Through the academy and the library system, the players would be indoctrinated and they will automatically feel part of the club, so then they don’t just play for the team but see themselves as core members of the club.
“Football is one of the major tools that have the potential to transform and that is one of the reasons for putting up this facility.”
