The 2000 capacity assembly hall is expected to be completed in 12 months, whiles the two bedroom, four unit teachers quarters is expected to be completed in 10 months.
Mr Kusi said the project was awarded under the Schools Under Trees and Emergency Interventions Programme(SUTEmIP).
He said the assembly decided to support the school due to the inadequate infrastructure and the overcrowding of students.
Mrs Benedicta Carbilba Foli, Head Mistress of the School, said since the inception of the school- 58 years ago, the school has never had an assembly hall and the dining hall was used as the assembly hall.
In another development, Mr Kusi also handed over a six unit classroom block to the Presbyterian Primary School at Koforidua – this was also awarded under the SUTEmIP.
Mrs Ivy Asantewaa Owusu, the Eastern Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools, said the completion of the project has brought a sign of relief to the beneficiaries.
She appealed to benevolent organizations and individuals to support the school acquire an Information Communication Technology laboratory and books to equip the school’s library.
