Aspirant predicts…

The parliamentary aspirant of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) in the Akropong Constituency in the Eastern Region, Mr Kwaku Fredua-Agyeman, has indicated that the party is poised to win the Akropong seat.

According to him, the PPP is ‘favourite among the lot’ to win the seat, because it has put forth “practical solutions” to the problems in the constituency.

Though he could not predict the exact winning percentage, Mr Fredua Agyeman was of firm conviction that the PPP has the brightest chance of winning the seat, because of its message of hope which, he estimates, has been accepted by the electorate in the constituency.

“We are not being complacent but when you go round, people complain and the perception is that no practical solutions have been provided to solve their numerous problems,” he observed.

The practical solutions from the PPP, according to him, include the provision of jobs for the unemployed youth and better schools for children in the constituency.

Though the Akropong Constituency can boast of ancient monuments which date back to the early days of the operations of Christian missionaries, the town is also is fraught with several development challenges.

These challenges, according to Mr Fredua-Agyeman, have dashed the hopes of the constituents, and it has been his fervent desire to restore those hopes in the hearts of the constituents when elected as the Member of Parliament (MP.)

“We would restore the hopes of the constituents that have been dashed.  Our messages of hope have been a good one and have given us an edge over our contenders…,” he said.

Mr Fredua-Agyeman called on both young and old in the constituency to partake in the on-going biometric voter’s registration to have the opportunity to change their MP for a PPP candidate and restore hope of the people of Akropong.
