Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the House of Representatives for Guma/Makurdi constituency in Benue State, John Tondo has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of preaching violence ahead of the coming elections.

?Throughout my two weeks rallies which I ended in Makurdi, we recorded no violence. In fact it was very peaceful. But the APC has been preaching violence all through. I think they should look inward and address their problems”, the former Commissioner for Lands and Survey in the state said.

Amidst the trading of accusations over attack on their members and structures in the state, Tondo urged the APC to look inwards and fish out the culprits responsible for the purported attack on themselves rather than pointing fingers at the PDP which he said has embarked on preaching peace throughout its campaign rallies across the state.

According to him, APC has internal wrangling bordering on the imposition of candidates which are capable of generating deep crisis by aggrieved members and are yet to be resolved therefore they should not shift any blame on the PDP which has no issues and is fully prepared for the March 28th and April 11, 2015 general elections.

However, the APC governorship candidate, Dr Samuel Ortom, has urged his supporters to remain resolute and undeterred by the actions of those he said did not mean well for his vision to govern the state, saying no man can thwart God’s plan for him to become the governor of Benue State come May 29, 2015.
