Directors of Network 21 Investment, Patrick Naah Bonah and Leonard Naah have allegedly defrauded people in the Brong Ahafo Region to the tune of GH¢ 3,937.673.

The company which is operating from two offices located at Atebubu and Yeh I, has succeeded in collecting GH¢ 2,817,617 and GH¢ 1,120,056 respectively in both branches from unsuspecting clients.
Information gathered by this paper is that, clients of the company got wind of a supposed system blocked which called for the suspension of the company’s operations.
However, although the Directors of Network 21 Investment were contacted over the matter, they were unable to give tangible reasons for the development, causing fear and panic in the customers who decided to withdraw their investments.
The clients according to investigations, trooped to the offices of Network 21 Investment for their monies but to no avail, only to be given frivolous excuses.
Since then, the company seized to function and the two offices located at Atebubu and Yeh I have been under lock and key without any of the staff in sight.
The few staff of the company who wanted to assist the customers to retrieve their investments were asked to go and see the Directors parents who live at Asokore Mampong.
However, they were ‘sacked’ by the Directors’ parents who threatened to lose her dogs after them.
However, the manager and his colleagues have been threatened several times by their clients to retrieve the monies. This has made them relocate from their houses for the fear of being killed.
This paper has gathered that some of the investors who got the information about the fraudulent activity, and the subsequent closure of the company, suffered shock causing them to faint.
One person was reported to have died out of shock.
Meanwhile, this paper gathered that somewhere in October last year, Patrick Naah Bonah who was out of the town called the manager asking for a scanned copy of the company’s receipt but was denied.
Patrick Naah Bonah, according to affected clients/customers used the name of the President John Dramani Mahama and other government officials to induce people into investing in his company.
“He convinced the indigenes that the company is an oil company based outside the country and has a branch in Ghana which he is the Director. Patrick showed us the company on the internet which even compelled us more to do business with him. He gave us an investment percentage of 65% for two months which sounded good to our ears,” an affected customer revealed.
The company, Network 21 Limited according to checks was not part of the companies that the Bank of Ghana placed on embargo.
Meanwhile, police source say, even though the company did not meet the necessary requirements, the Yeji Commercial bank went ahead to open a company account for Network 21 Limited with which they transacted their dubious business.
Other accounts were opened at the Tantra hill branch of the Commercial bank and Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) at Achimota.
The matter however has been reported to the Police but affected customers lamented that investigation has delayed.
When Mr. Jeff Ashley who is investigating the matter was contacted, he indicated that the company begun operating on 8th April 2015 after Patrick Naah Bonah (1st Director) met a lady who he was able to convinced about his business.
The woman helped Patrick with a place to set up an office and also had the opportunity work with them. She later got them an apartment where they stayed.
The police made frantic efforts to arrest the two fraudsters, but to no avail hence, Mr. Ashley, investigator on the case, is appealing to the general public to release information about the whereabouts of the two accused persons.
It was also revealed that other measures have been taken to arrest Patrick and his brother including a petition written to President John Dramani Mahama.
Meanwhile, the case has been forwarded to the BNI for further investigation.
