The Falconets will meet Japan for the U20 female bronze

Magaret Domka, an American referee, will be at the centre for the third place match between the Falconets and Japan in the ongoing U-20 Women?s World Cup on Saturday, a statement by Ejiro Babafemi, Nigeria?s U-20 Women?s team Media Officer, said on Friday.

Falconets will play the hosts in the match at the Tokyo National Stadium by 7:30 a.m. (Nigerian time).

The Falconets lost 0-2 to the United States, while Germany defeated Japan 3-0.

Meanwhile, the President of Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Aminu Maigari, has praised the Falconets for their impressive performance in the competition and urged them to be calm in their approach to the game.

He advised them not to be intimidated by the hosts that would enjoy the crowd?s support.

“Sixteen teams started the competition and only four are left of which you are part of.

“Nobody needs to be told that it is not a child’s play to get this far and I must let you know that I am extremely proud of you all.

“Now that you are playing for bronze, I want to say that you do not have to be afraid of your opponents because they are the host team.

“You can do it but to make it happen, you need to remain focused and play as a team,” Maigari said.
