National First Division side AmaZulu have decided against signing former Free State Stars striker Abdul Basit Adam.

Usuthu coach Steve Barker started assessing Adam after he was informed the Ghanaian?s contract had been terminated at Turkish outfit Giresunspor.

Adam initially joined Giresunspor on a two-year deal last month following his release from Ea Lla Koto.

?That?s what we heard, that he signed for the Turkish club and we were then informed that he is out of contract and they have terminated his contract,? Barker tells KickOff.com from his team?s training base at People?s Park.

?He came here to train with us for a couple of days, so according to us he was out of contract.

?But we have opted against doing anything at this stage. You are only allowed to have five foreigners so we are full in that position. And unfortunately he is no longer training with us now.?
