
Team Nigeria on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport yesterday
The stage is set for the commencement of the second edition of the Nestle Milo U-13 African Football Championship, organizers of the competition, Nestle Ghana Limited, has revealed.
And, beginning today to Friday, six countries comprising defending champions Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana will battle for supremacy at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for the Holiday Inn Hotel, Accra today.
The participating teams will tour the factory sites of Nestle Ghana Limited in Tema tomorrow.
On Thursday, the combatants will engage in an all-play-all in the group matches, to be followed by the quarter and semi finals as well as the grand finale on Friday.
A special dinner would be organized for the participating teams also on Friday and the teams will depart to their respective countries on Saturday.
It was the Nigerians, winners of the maiden edition when South Africa hosted it, who arrived first in the country yesterday followed by Kenya, Sierra Leon, Liberia and South Africa in that order.
