The Ghana government has decided to discontinue contracts between the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) and service providers.
According to the Head of GYEEDA, Mr Kobby Acheampong, service contracts cancelled include those with rLG, Asongtaba, the Better Ghana Management Services Limited among others.
However the waste management module will still continue, Mr Acheampong told Peace FM January 14, 2014 in an interview monitored by ghanabuisnessnews.com.
A Ministry of Youth & Sports letter dated January 9, 2014 has already directed the service providers to discontinue the contract. ?I am directed to convey to you, Government?s decision to discontinue or terminate the contract with immediate effect,? the Ministry?s Chief Director Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu said in the letter.
