Celebrates the creativity of Nigerian Youths

Airtel Nigerian, on Tuesday, launched its 2012 thematic campaign which focused on friendship.

The Chief Marketing Officer, Olu Akanmu who disclosed this during the launching at Sheraton Hotel and Suite, Lagos said that the campaign was to celebrate the creativity, ingenuity, resilience and never say die spirits of Nigerian youths.

He noted that from Europe to America, Nigerian youths were making waves in music, comedy, sports among others, and they deserved being celebrated.

He made reference to a Nigerian youth that grew up in Orile, a Lagos street to play for Inter Milan FC of Italy, another one that grew up in Owerri who later played for Arsenal, so also a Nigerian girl who grew up in Lawanson, a Lagos street to become a supermodel in New York.

?That?s what the campaign is all about, you have someone, somewhere experimenting with one form of creativity at home, they go to school, and they still have time to create. They sing, dance, create different kind of enterprises,? he said. ?We celebrate the enterprises of our youth success with their friends.?

Asking ?Who is a friend??, the CMO said the successful Nigerian youths have unique ways of celebrating their success, such that despite how successful they were, they would still come home to celebrate with their friends.
