He cited the construction of a community center, roads, schools and health infrastructures as well as extension of electricity to some rural areas as some of the projects they have benefited.

The festival was under theme: “Akwambo Festival-Our Heritage; a vehicle for sustainable peace, unity and development.
The Paramount Chief expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and his government for giving them their share of the national cake.
He said they had a singular request which is very dear to their hearts and wish it will be implemented for them and that “Agonaman needs a third district to be known as Agona Central with it capital at Nyarkrom to help speed up development in the area”.
Okofo Okatakyi X said Agonaman had three urban councils namely Swedru, Nyarkrom and Nsaba adding that Swedru and Nsaba have been alleviated to Municipal and a District status while that of Nyarkrom is still an urban council.
The Paramount Chief said the traditional council has already set aside a vast land at Nyarkrom for construction offices and residential buildings for the establishment of the District Assembly.
