Ghanaian media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has referred her ongoing dispute with musician Mzbel to a traditional arbitration panel in the Volta Region, escalating a feud that has gripped social media since early April 2026.

A formal notice dated April 8, 2026, and shared by Afia Schwarzenegger on her Instagram page, invites Mzbel, whose legal name is Belinda Ekua Amoah, to appear before a panel led by Torgbui Adzima, with elders Torgbui Nuwordu and Mama Vena presiding, at Klikor Ablotsivia in the Ketu South Municipality.

Afia Schwarzenegger, identified in the notice as Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, is listed as the plaintiff. She accuses Mzbel of publicly claiming she admitted to a sexual encounter involving an animal and receiving $5,000 from the owner, allegations she categorically denies.

The stakes in the arbitration are considerable. Afia Schwarzenegger states in the claim that she is prepared to pay GH¢3,000,000 if the allegation is proven true, but demands the same amount from Mzbel should the claim be found to be false. The notice further warns that if either party makes false submissions before the panel, the matter could be referred to traditional spiritual arbitration.

Mzbel has been summoned to appear before the panel on April 18, 2026, to respond to the charges.

The dispute intensified after Mzbel appeared on United Showbiz on United Television (UTV) Ghana on April 4, 2026, where she became emotional on air while denying various allegations about her personal life. Her appearance prompted a sharp public response from Afia Schwarzenegger, who dismissed her conduct and questioned her claims.

Afia Schwarzenegger also invoked the Antoa deity in a separate video, calling for spiritual consequences if Mzbel’s allegations were fabricated.

The hearing on April 18 will determine whether the panel can resolve the matter or whether it proceeds to a higher traditional determination, marking an unusual turn in a celebrity dispute that began as a social media exchange and has since drawn national attention.
