Finally, Electrochem has succeeded in its efforts to making government pay its ground rent to the people of Ada.
This is the first of its kind in the history of this country that a government has paid ground rent to Ada. It is worth noting that a total amount of GHC1,250,000 as ground rent is received, and royalties will soon follow.
The ground rent received will be shared strictly among the clans whose communities form part of the 41,000-acre land leased to Electrochem Ghana Limited.
Clearly, this is an act of selfless devotion to the people of Ada by the development chief of Ada, McDan, who is seemingly
concerned more with the needs and wishes of Ada than with his own. With the ground rent now paid by government, and coming forth with royalties, Ada will yield with bounteous joy.
Electrochem will continue to show its ungrudging courtesy and kindness, especially towards women and children of Ada through its gallant Community and Social Responsibility programmes, and still open hands to even some few mean-spirits who don’t want the progress of Electrochem Ghana Limited in Ada.
