The 7th edi on of the will take place the 20 & 21 May 2026 at the Marrio
Hotel in Accra, bringing together leading stakeholders from Africa’s port, mari me and
logis cs ecosystem for two days of high-level dialogue, strategic networking and business
engagement.

Organized by One Africa Forums under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Transport of
Ghana and Tanger Med Group, the Africa Ports Forum has established itself since 2019 as a
leading pan-African pla orm dedicated to port development, mari me connec vity and trade
facilita on across the con nent. The 2026 edi on will welcome port authori es, ministers,
regulators, terminal operators, shipping lines, logis cs providers, investors, development
ins tu ons and technology companies from across Africa and beyond. Around 20 countries
are expected to be represented in Accra.

At a me when African countries are accelera ng regional integra on and infrastructure
moderniza on, the forum will address key challenges and opportuni es shaping the future of
African ports and mari me trade. Discussions will focus on strategic themes including port
infrastructure financing, smart ports, green and sustainable logis cs, mari me connec vity,
regional corridors, digital transforma on, customs moderniza on and public-private
partnerships.

The forum will also serve as a pla orm for showcasing investment opportuni es and
strengthening coopera on between public and private stakeholders involved in the
transforma on of Africa’s transport and logis cs landscape. Through plenary sessions, high
level panels, technical discussions and B2B mee ngs, par cipants will have the opportunity to
exchange exper se, share experiences and iden fy new partnerships aimed at improving the
compe veness and resilience of African ports.

Speaking ahead of the event, the organizers emphasized the strategic importance of
collabora on between African ports and logis cs stakeholders to support intra-African trade
and the ambi ons of the African Con nental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

“The Africa Ports Forum con nues to posi on itself as a pla orm for dialogue and concrete
coopera on between decision-makers and operators commi ed to the moderniza on and
compe veness of African ports,” stated the organizers.

Over the years, the Africa Ports Forum has gathered key ins tu onal and private sector actors
from across the con nent, contribu ng to the promo on of innova ve solu ons and strategic
partnerships for the development of port and logis cs infrastructure in Africa. The 2026
edi on in Accra aims to further strengthen this momentum by fostering meaningful exchanges
and facilita ng business opportuni es among stakeholders driving the future of mari me
trade in Africa.
