—Land Developers Warned Not To Deal With Imposter In Any Any Lands Transaction

The elders of the Abola Piam Tungma We have cautioned all land developers and prospective buyers against dealing with the elders of the Sempe Stool regarding land transactions in Sowutuom, South Ofankor, and Chantan within the Ga Traditional Area.

By issuing this public notice, the Abola Piam family formally affirms its legal and historical ownership rights over extensive tracts of land in Sowutuom, South Ofankor, Chantan, and surrounding areas in Accra.

This public notice serves to reaffirm that the Abola Piam Tungma We is the rightful custodian of these lands, dismissing rival claims by the Sempe Stool as “historically inaccurate” and “legally baseless.

“Court Confirmations and Legal Authority

The elders reaffirmed that Abola Piam Family is the rightful owner of all lands in Sowutuom, South Ofankor, Chantan, and the Police Acquisition Area.

This ownership is confirmed by final judgments in the courts of Ghana, notably,” the Court of Appeal judgment presided over by F.G.K. Korbieh, J.A. (delivered on July 3, 2019, in consolidated suits BL 19/2010, TRS 143/2005, and BL 397/2006).

They pointed to the judgment in Seth Ankrah v. Kingsford Adjarbeng & Sempe Stool (dated June 20, 1990).

According to the elders. these judgments affirm that the Abola Piam Family owns the said lands and that the Sempe Stool—and anyone claiming through them—has no legal interest in them.

Warning to the Public

They stresed that the public is strictly warned not to engage with any of the following individuals or their agents regarding these lands.

These individuals included Alhaji Ussif Deku, Santa Maria Ayii Awala, Sowutoum Insunfa, Haruna Ahmed Tijani of Omanjor, Sulley Mohammed (coach), Sulemana Mawiya of Gonja, Nii Ofori Osabu of Sowutoum, Abdul Rauf Ussif of Asa, Garba Samori of Tantra, Ahmed Ajeidu of Israel, Naa Ajakumah of Tantra, Nii Ayi Mensah (Pro), Nii Shika Sturu of Tabora, Solomon Bittor Attipoe, and Yahaya Seidu (Alhaji).

They argued any document obtained from any unauthorised source regarding these lands is void and of no legal value.

They further warned that transactions with unauthorized parties are at the purchaser’s own risk, and the family accepts no liability.

Call to Action and Legal Recourse

They emphasized that the family will take immediate legal action against any person who continues to encroach on or deal with unauthorized individuals.

This includes lawsuits for the recovery of possession, damages for trespass, perpetual injunctions, and criminal proceedings.

They explained that all prospective buyers, developers, and tenants must verify land titles exclusively through the Head of the Abola Piam Family or the family’s solicitor.
