6 Steps on How to Improve your Self Confidence

Your opinion about yourself greatly affects how you live your life. You may have noticed that those who have healthy self confidence tend to have better living conditions and happy relationships. That’s because they believe that they can achieve their goals and perform well. You too can be like that and improve your self confidence.

The key word that will really improve your self confidence is POSITIVITY. Instead of picking out all of your flaws, try focusing on your best assets. You can write them down on a nice piece of paper and post them next to your mirror to remind you that you have really nice and unique qualities.

Another thing to think about if you want to improve your self confidence is that you should not be such a perfectionist.

Setting unbelievably high standards will only make you feel inferior. Instead of creating an ideal image, concentrate on making achievable goals and set yourself on doing them.

For instance, instead of saying that you are too fat and you need to lose 20 pounds, you can say that you will jog every afternoon for 30 minutes. Plus, it doesn’t hurt to buy a cute pair of running shoes and matching sweatshirt and pants to help motivate you to start your workout.

Exploring new opportunities and meeting new people will also greatly improve your self confidence. There are so many interesting activities and clubs out there that are waiting for you to become a part of.

If you’ve always wanted to learn French, go ahead and sign up for a class. Do you want to learn how to bake the perfect apple pie? Attend a baking lecture! Along the way, you will learn a lot and have plenty of fun. Most likely make a lot of interesting new friends as well.

Have you ever wanted to do something but you never had the confidence to try? Many people have accomplished so much not because they are perfect, but because they tried. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes because nobody is exempted from them.

Lending out a hand to those who are in need of it will keep you from thinking about your own problems and insecurities. Be a part of a charity organization or at least help raise funds to support the less fortunate. Doing so will make other people’s lives so much better.

Spend Quality Time with your Loved Ones.

Going out on a date with your best friends, taking your mom out for lunch, cooking your sweetheart a delicious meal and many other fun and exciting activities will help improve your self confidence by letting you enjoy your relationships.

Just have fun and revel in the moments that will in turn become happy and heartwarming memories. Take pictures and print them out, create a scrap book and pour over them every now and then to remind you that life is all about love and happiness. There’s no room for self pity.
