Nelson?Mandela was a leader of a nation of contracting hopes and visions.
He could have sold out, indeed he was tempted many times to sell out.
Mandela rejected such political rapprochement to dump his people for perks with the ‘enemy’.
As we mourn and celebrate Mandela, our greatest honour to him would be to do six things he also stood for:
?VIGILANCE
?FRANKNESS
?BRAVERY
?SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER
?INCORRUPTIBLE LEADERSHIP
?FORGIVENESS
We can only hope that living African leaders will emulate him.
