Two police officers were also involved in the occurrence

Two police officers attached to the Ogun State Police Command, on Wednesday, died in a multiple auto accident which occurred at Itori village on the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
The officers were identified as Insp. Thomas Olorunjuwon and Insp. Ojo John Bull.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the death of the two officers who were returning from Sango Ota where they had gone for official duties.
He said the command would ensure a befitting burial for the dead officers.
The FRSC Unit Commander, Fatai Bakare, said that apart from the police officers, one other person was killed, while 10 persons sustained injuries.
Bakare, who said two vehicles and a stationary articulated vehicle were involved in the accident, blamed the incident on dangerous driving.
“The police vehicle rammed into a stationary truck before another bus coming from Lagos also rammed into it,” he said.
He said 13 males and three females were involved in the accident, adding that the bodies of the dead had been deposited at the mortuary.
