The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) has organized its 2nd graduation ceremony to award 40 students with Master?s Degree in Mathematical Science. The 40 Students comprises 12 females and 38 males from 16 African Countries. 8 students were awarded with F.K A. Allotey Meritorious Award.
The Guest Speaker Prof. Isabella Akyinbah Quakyi in her speech said there is no better investment in Africa than education. She thanked AIMS-Ghana for the opportunity given her in the midst of mathematicians. She also advice the grandaunts to use knowledge acquire to solve problems.
In a speech read on behalf of the Minister for EducationProf. Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang,she expressed her gratitude for the invitation and stressed on governments commitments to provide resources to meet educational needs in the country. She added that the Ministry for Education will to continue to promote interest in mathematics and science. The Minister advice the grandaunts to use knowledge and wisdom acquired for the benefit of all.
In speech read on behalf of the grandaunts, Mike Nelson and Angela Tabiri congratulated their fellow graduating students on reaching an important milestone in their lifes journey. They recounted the toil, determination and persistence to be the next Einstein.
In their final words, they offered their deepest appreciation for the love and support given them throughout their studies.
