The General Overseer of the Church of Rabbi at Ofankor near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region, has stated emphatically that the coming elections will be saddled with massive rigging but the will of God will prevail at the end.

According to him, the Almighty God has revealed to him that the elections which will be conducted on December 7 will not be as smooth as we are expecting but that there will be several attempts by some political party with the help of some officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to ?steal? the voted in their favour.
Prophet Kwabena Tawiah mentioned that even though all these irregularities would occur during the elections, there should not be any course for alarm, as God has already appointed a leader for Ghana and that in as much as people steal, the will of God will prevail.
?They will steal votes, they can even kill and do anything on the day, but God has his chosen one and no amount of stealing can change the verdict of God,? he said.
Although he did not mention the political party that will be engaging in the act of ?stealing? the elections, he stressed that majority of such activities will come from the Electoral Commission. He however called on Dr Afari Gyan to advise his officials to cancell any evil idea they are habouring towards the elections.
??. Mahama will never steal, but all that I am saying is that the stealing will come from the EC,? he said.
In the light of the latest revelation he received, Prophet KwabenaTawiah has called on all political party leadership to protect the ballot boxes and do all things possible to ensure that there is no violence.
He also pointed out that there is the need for all to exhibit Godliness on that day, saying that it is only politicians that do not love their country that will engage in the act of stealing or rigging the elections.
?If politicians love Ghana they should make sure they live up to it.?
The Prophet was speaking a press conference in Accra. He indicated that vigilance is key to preventing any form of violence during the elections, but added that pastors, Imams and other religious groups and leaders should pray and stand united for peace to reign.
He has also called on politicians to stop engaging in spiritual practices alien to the worship of God.
Prophet Tawiah, who was speaking to the press at his church premises, said such spiritual practices would bring about untold economic hardships, frequent blood shedding through accidents and death of prominent personalities in the country.
?We the Prophets in Ghana always pray to God to uproot those bad spirits, but every time Ghanaian politicians come back with different spirits from outside and until they put a stop to them the country would find it difficult to make a head way in its developmental agenda,? he said.
He averred that the usage of blood and foreign spirits are becoming too much in Ghana and it is about time prophets and religious leaders rose up to tell the perpetrators, to put a stop to them and rather depend on God for the nation to make progress.
Prophet Tawiah asked God to grant Ghana peaceful elections, asking the people of Ghana to constantly pray God to overcome any obstacle that would befall the nation.
Prophet KwabenaTawiah said there was the need for the hand of God to prevail over the nation because there was economic hardship and rampart lorry accidents that claim lives.
He said the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar had created difficulties for the government and the people and appealed to religious leaders to intervene with prayers.
He said for politicians to achieve their ambitions they should first allow peace to be paramount in their activities.
