The KMA Circuit Court presided over by Mrs. Mary Nsenkyire has been adjourned to 18th May 2017. The case involving the 13 delta force, who chased out the Ashanti regional security coordinator from his office.
The case was adjourned after the prosecutor, ACP Okyere Darko told the court that, the Attorney Generally department had requested for the case docket for studying to offer advice and therefore pleaded for more time.
The 13 delta force have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, assault on public officer, causing unlawful damage and rioting.
The court’s first sitting remanded the 13 delta force to reappear on 20th April, but some alleged members of the accusers who were in court during the proceedings raided the court room and led to the accusers escape, but later reported themselves to the police.
The lawyers for the 13 delta force filed application for bail at the Kumasi high court 5 of which the bail was granted.
In an interaction with One of the Lawyers for the delta force with News Ghana, Lawyer Matthew Appiah suggested that, the prosecutor has no evidence to prove the case.
He said, they (lawyers) are ready to face the prosecutor in court after the AG has done with the studying of the case docket.
