The Jospong Group of Companies has made its annual donation to National Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu to mark the Eid al-Fitr celebrations, presenting bags of rice, cooking oil, and an undisclosed sum of money at the Chief Imam’s residence in Accra.

The visit, which has become a fixture in the Group’s calendar over more than two decades, carried additional significance this year as it coincided with the birthday of the Group’s Executive Chairman, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong. The Chief Imam offered special prayers for his continued success and wellbeing during the occasion.

Speaking at the presentation, Emma Adwoa Appiaa Osei-Duah, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at Zoomlion Ghana Limited, said the donation reflects the Group’s respect for the Chief Imam’s role in fostering national peace, particularly during the Ramadan period.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Chief Imam, Protocol Officer Alhaji Abdul Latif acknowledged 25 years of consistent support from the Group, describing the relationship as a model of corporate solidarity with Ghana’s Muslim community.

He also used the occasion to celebrate Ghana’s tradition of interfaith harmony. “We are fortunate that Christians and Muslims can dialogue, eat together, and agree,” he said, pointing to the country’s longstanding record of peaceful religious coexistence.

The Jospong Group used the visit to reinforce its environmental messaging, urging Ghanaians to maintain clean surroundings as a shared civic responsibility.
