The exchange will promote the spirit of literary unity in Africa

The Society of Young Nigerian Writers, in collaboration with Girl Child Creativity Concept, Zimbabwe, has called for submissions for ‘Rising Voices: 100 Young Voices From Zimbabwe and Nigeria’.

Rising Voices is a Zimbabwean/Nigerian literary exchange for young poets between the ages of 10 and 35.

The projects aims to discover new literary talents, produce an anthology, and share literary custom, tradition, ethics, history and culture through written poems.

Original English poems between 10 and 50 lines are accepted. Entrants are required to include home country, state, age, location, a short profile, where you heard about the call for entries, phone number and a sentence of not more than 50 words describing the poem.

A certificate of participation will be awarded to all entrants, and a certificate of excellence to all shortlisted.

The shortlisted poems will be published.

Deadline for submissions is December 31, 2012, and entries should be submitted to: [email protected] (cc:[email protected][email protected]).
