Zambia’s year-on-year inflation in October declined by 0.2 percentage points, its statistics agency said Thursday.

The year-on-year inflation, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), has declined to 6.4 percent in October from 6.6 percent the previous month, according to a statement released by the Central Statistical Office (CSO).

It attributed the decline to falling prices of both food and non-food items.

The month-on-month inflation however rose by 0.4 percent from 0.3 percent the previous month, it added. Enditem
