Herve Renard is keeping his fingers crossed after Rainford ?Kalaba ?pulled out of?Monday’s afternoon training.

The setback came just hours after the TP Mazembe was declared ready for the Lesotho game by assistant coach Patrice Beaumelle.

Kalaba watched his Zambia team mates train from the sidelines at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola with a heavily strapped right calf.

He later walked with a limp back to the team bus at the close of the days training.

The technical bench could not immediately comment on Kalaba?s latest injury setback until the teams medical team had made a thorough overnight assessment of his status.

Kalaba, who joined camp on June 1, had just returned to training?on Monday?after a two-week injury lay-off with his DR Congo club that saw him ruled out of Mazembe’s CAF Confederation Cup return leg tie away to Liga Muculmana of Mozambique ?in Maputo on June 2.
