The government will make all efforts to ensure the smooth operation of the court to guarantee social justice, especially when the country is heading for general elections later this year, Lungu said.

According to the amended constitution, Zambia will hold tripartite elections on Aug. 11 to choose a president, lawmakers and councilors.

The court is expected to be busy during the election time as a number of constitutional disputes will arise, the president added. Endi
