Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga, Mr Nkrumah explained that even though the party was not in power, it had empowered a lot of the Youth with employable skills and employment.

He said the party did not discriminate in its training or offering of jobs to the youth.
He cited the setting up of financial institutions and radio stations across all the regions and districts, which had engaged many young people without preferential treatment.

Mr Nkrumah mentioned the Upper East Regional Treasurer of the party, Mr Emmanuel Nsobila, who was recently selected by the party and given the opportunity to represent it at a five day conference organized by the Liberal Democrat Autumn Conference in Bournemouth International Centre, United Kingdom as an example.

?The party is also grooming the youth to become more responsible politicians for the nation. All these make the party very unique and distinguish from the other parties in Ghana,? he stressed.

Sharing his experience about the conference he attended on behalf of the party in the UK, Mr Nsobila thanked the party for giving him the opportunity and said he was privileged to be among the seven other international youth delegates selected from liberal political parties in developing democratic countries

He told the GNA that the programme, which was organised by the UK Liberal Democrats in collaboration with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), aimed at bringing together representatives from liberal parties across Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, to share experiences, compare and contrast strategies in campaigning for elections.

They also shared experiences of opportunities and challenges young liberal candidates and activists faced in elections.
