Nana Addo says the NPP need to ensure the integrity of the electoral process rather than going to court in 2016

Once again, the ?voxpopuli? has resoundingly declared in favour of Nana Addo DankwaAkufo- Addo as a potential flag bearer of the party.

?Paul Afoko, NPP ChairmanAs ardent supporters of the party, we of the Young Executive Forum(YEF), fully endorse the will of the delegates and whole heartedly congratulate Nana Addo DankwaAkufo-Addo on his massive victory in the first round. It is our hope that the interregnum between now and the next round of elections shall provide a moratorium for sober reflection and introspection to enable the party chart a sustainable road map to victory in 2016.

We further appeal to all to remain calm and cease putting pressure on the surviving contestants to withdraw from the next round of elections. We also call on the National Executive Council to evaluate the operational systems and processes within the party and address the inherent flaws.

It is on the strength of this show of maturity that we invite the winner to show magnanimity in victory and for the vanquished to display sobriety and humility in defeat. We make this appeal against the backdrop of ominous threats of implosion and mayhem by some members who driven by sheer passion and rage, thought the best medium of expression of their frustrations and dissent was through violence.

It is our wish that those incidents shall be considered as blips on the radar with no permanent place in our Party. A credible medium for dialogue and conflict resolution within our ranks should be established and ardently pursued in moments of turmoil. The era of the proverbial ostrich is over. We should confront our fears and suspicious frontally.

Congratulations to all who contested in the true spirit of competition that the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition thrives on and encourages. Good luck in the last and final round.
