KILLER! Bela Fuseini

A 19-year-old boy was stabbed to death when he intervened in a fight between his vulcaniser friend and the lover at Nima in Accra.

Moro Issah, the deceased, was stabbed in the left shoulder and stomach with a kitchen knife by suspect Bela Fuseini, also known as Bob, around 7:30pm Wednesday night.

Bob is currently in the custody of the Nima Divisional Police Command, as the law enforcement agents continue investigating the case.

Neighbours claimed the fight between Bob and his lover, one Aisha, started as a result of an argument over a four-month pregnancy being carried by the 18-year-old girl.

Confirming the story to DAILY GUIDE, DSP Freeman Tetteh, the Greater Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, said Bob, 18, picked up a fight with his lover after she reportedly told him that she was going to terminate the four-monthold pregnancy.

?Bob allegedly warned Aisha, also 18, that she should not dare abort the pregnancy and this resulted in a fight,? he told DAILY GUIDE.

While Bob was assaulting his lover, neighbours attempted to separate them, but the suspect warned them not to interfere. He went for a knife and warned that he would stab anybody who tried to separate them.

Three men from the area, including the deceased, however rushed in to disarm the suspect, but in the process, he stabbed Moro in the left arm and stomach.

Residents then disarmed him and handed him over to the Kotobabi Police for investigation.

The victim, Moro, who was then bleeding profusely, was rushed to the Mamobi Polyclinic for medical attention, from where he was referred to the 37 Military Hospital. He was however pronounced dead on arrival.

Aisha, the lover of Bob, was yet to give her statement to the police.

The body of Moro Issah had been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
