For the sake of peace, unity and stability to ensure the rapid socio-economic development of the country the Yuruba chief of the Nigerian community in Kumasi chief Ahmed Rufai Alieu Alaho III has stressed the need for Ghanaians to accept the verdict of the Supreme court over the presidential petition on the 2012 general election lodged by the New Patriotic Party. Reacting to the principles of Muslim Ramadan, the Yuruba chief noted that peace and unity are the necessary ingredients to build a solid economy and therefore it is necessary for the citizens to be guided by the current spate of peace the economy enjoys. Ghana he said is a peaceful country and as such issues that could threaten the peace must be avoided.

Touching on the Ramadan, Chief Ahmed thanked Allah for making it possible to celebrate the occasion once again in this year 2013 adding that since Islam was established on a peaceful note Muslims should be guided by the rules of the occasion and promote peace, love one another, forgive ones sins and above all avoid anti social vices that could raise eyebrow problems in the society. Ramadan, he stated, as an occasion that calls for purity and holiness to get direct contact with Allah for good health, luck, total human upliftment and Allah?s guidance, he urged the celebrants to be charitable and not forget the principles of Ramadan in the course of the celebration and after to enhance the values of Muslim?s believes. Concluding he called on the Nigerian community in Ashanti Region and other parts of the country to be law- abiding and contribute their quota towards? national development to maintain the trust that Ghanaians have in Nigerians.
