On Monday 13th July,Ghana?s number one urban youth radio station, YFM, with support from the Databank Ark Fund, is set to launch a fund raising campaign dubbed ?Y Cares?.
wpid-yfm.jpgPrimarily aimed at lending a helping hand to the victims of the June 3 fire disaster at Circle,the launch for this special fundraising campaign is scheduled to take place at the Silver Lounge, Accra Mall at 5:00pm prompt. This will then be followed by a series of activities to raise funds to be donated to the burns unit of the Korlebu Teaching Hospital.
In a comment, Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong aka Nokus, the Manager for Events & Strategy at YFM said, ?The Y brand which is known for its entertainment prowess, is also a humanitarian brand that seeks to help solve society?s challenges by making meaningful contributions to the lives of the people in the Ghanaian society.?? He also stated that YFM would continue to use the platform of entertainment to positively impact the lives of many people through its dynamic repertoire of programmes.
Guest who are expected to be present at this novelty of a fundraising drive by YFM include Okyeame Kwame (rap doctor), Raquel, Kojo Q and other personalities.
