As part of its effort of beautifying Ghana and also providing decent jobs to the youth in the country Youth Employment Agency(YEA) in collaboration with Department of Parks and Gardens has launched an initiative christened : “Youth In Greening Ghana Module”.

Speaking at the launching ceremony in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of Youth Employment Agency(YEA) Mr. Kobina Beecham, noted that so far 250 beneficiaries and 30 supervisors have been recruited.

According to him, the concept has the primary objective providing employment to the youth, provide tools to work with and augment the human resource. Adding that, they will soon replicate the programme in other regions.
This he said Ghana will soon become a paradise on earth with this gallant initiative been introduced
The Chief Executive Officer Officer of Department of Parks and Gardens Mr. Ishmael Nii Adjei Browne , lauded the Youth In Greening Ghana initiative. He cited the following benefit which the country will derive through the implementation of the programme:

Mr . Adjei Browne, noted that his outfit will impart employable skills to the beneficiaries after which they will be deplored to work on four selected ceremonial road in Accra.
_ Add beauty to towns and cities
_ Trees will serve as light breakers which will help reduce road accidents.
_ Absorption of harmful gases by trees resources and also conserve natural resources.

According to him, globally problems of economic growth are inseparable from those of environmental pollutions, explosive population growth and resource depletion.
“In green economy, developments of greens jobs are central to the global challenges of environmental protection, e economic development and social inclusion,” he noted.

According to him, this laudable initiative would be replicated in other regions in the nearest future.
