Andre and Jordan Ayew yet to write to Ghana FA to make Black Stars return

The Ghana FA insists the three players who have only verbally rescinded their decision not to play for the Black Stars must write over their decisions to make themselves available for the country.

Andre, Jordan Ayew and Kevin-Prince Boateng have rescind their decisions to either quit the national team temporarily or on a permanent basis.

The trio wrote to their clubs and the GFA to announce their decisions to leave the national team for various reasons.

Since then they have decided to change their minds and play for the country but are yet to officially communicate that decision to the GFA.

Despite their decision to to verbally change their minds, with no official written letter clubs abroad can refuse to release them for international matches.

That is because since they retired  from the national team they also officially informed their clubs in writing which means they are still unavailable for Ghana unless their write to confirm their return.

?Officially yes, it is the position of the Ghana Football Association that when you leave the national team normally it is in a written form which is by way of a letter,? GFA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie-Daara told Accra-based Montie FM.

?Therefore when coming back, the same mode of communication should be applied so that we can have firm grounds on recalling them to the national team.

?This is so because the clubs of these players were also made aware of these decisions to quit the national team.

?The Ghana FA however will have nothing to stand on to make a case against these clubs when inviting these players back especially when the club refuses to release these players.

?We have stated that these players can help the national team so we spoke to them about their return.

We are keen on their return but the right thing must be done. They have made their intentions verbally so we must have a letter to prove it if their clubs refuse to release them for international matches.

?It is very important for the purposes of also preserving our reputation on the international scene so there is no compromise here.?

These four players were left out of the latest Ghana squad that will be playing Turkey in an international friendly on Wednesday.
