The World XI lost by 4:1 to Kotoko in Kumasi in the first match of the VUM, which is being organised by Primeval media and the former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah, aimed at promoting peace and unity in Ghana ahead of the general election.

wpid-stephen-appiah.jpgEmile Heskey who scored for the World XI in Kumasi will be joined by his compatriots Edgar Davids, Arsenal’s Sol Campbell, Former Dutch star, George Boateng, former Arsenal star Alexandre Song, Nigerian Yakubu Aiyegbeni, former Man United striker Dwight Yorke, and some former Black Stars players like, Richard Kingson, Laryea Kingson, Sulley Muntari and John Paintsil to make up for the loss against Kotoko in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium last Wednesday.

In attendance for the stars game will include former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor, representatives from the titled sponsor, Vodafone as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps, and businessmen, including the CEO of the Kenpong Group of Companies, Kennedy Agyepong.
