This she said, technology offers numerous opportunities especially in the areas of communication, health, education and many more.

According to the communication expert, with a constant research on the internet they will come across vital information that will aid them to increase their knowledge-base .This would also help to address the huge gap that has existed between them and their male counterparts.

Mrs. Fiagbenu ,made this known in an exclusive interview with NewsGhana after an International Women’s Day Celebrations &Networking Cocktail forum which was held by MTN Ghana Foundation in partnership WomanRising, Ghana Shippers’s Council , Premium Bank and Cylabite in Accra.

Adding that, women should endeavour to use their mobile phones judiciously; by adopting the usage of Mobile Money Services since it will help them to improve their servings and also become economically independent in life.
However, MTN Foundation will continue empowering women economically in order to stand tall to contribute meaningfully to the socio -economic development of country.

She also seized the opportunity to encourage women to turn a blind eye to all hurdles in life despite all the responsibilities that surrounds them especially at the family level and embrace opportunities that comes on their way. Since the theme for this year’s international women(IWD) is : “BeBoldForChange”.

International Women’s Day is global day was set aside for celebrating the social , economic , cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call for to action for accelerating gender parity.

More so, most countries have celebrated the day in order to put forward the idea of advancing women’s suffrage to mark women’s enormous contribution to humanity.
