Woman escapes church through Twitter

A woman used Twitter to help her escape a church that she’d been locked inside.

Sarah Greep from Plymouth, south west England, took to the social networking site on her mobile phone to alert people to her predicament after realising she was trapped in St Andrews Church.

She wrote: “I’m locked in inside St. Andrews Church! I was in private praying chapel & when I came out, everyone was gone & doors locked. #Plymouth #help (sic)”

But when nobody initially came to her rescue she continued to tweet, even joking about being trapped inside the the holy building.

She quipped: “Locked inside St.Andrews #Plymouth Long wait til doors open at 18.30 [for the next service] Will be drunk on holy wine by then (sic)”

Eventually one of her followers contacted police who then got in touch with a key holder and freed Sarah.
