Speaking in a pre-match conference on Monday, coach Grant said he will not rely on others to qualify to the next stage of the competition.

?We are in a position to qualify for the next stage of the competition. We will not bother ourselves over the outcome of the other group C game between Senegal and Algeria.

?Relying on that game will be to our own disadvantage, so we will approach the game with all the seriousness it deserves.

?There is no need to think about others. All we have to do is to beat South Africa and qualify to the next stage, which I believe we are capable of doing.? Grant told the media at a press conference.

The coach admitted that South Africa is a good side with a lot of skilful and talented players who could pose serious threats to them in the competition.

?I have watched them in the qualifiers and this competition and I think they are very formidable side.

?I have a lot of respect for them, though they are yet to win a game in the competition.?

Coach Grant said he will count on the experience and mental strength of his players to beat South Africa.

He said they had worked on their weaknesses and prepared adequately for the game against South Africa.
