Dr Ephraim Avea Nsoh, Upper East Regional Minister on Friday night promised to build on the good works of his predecessor, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed-Muniru, now Northern Regional Minister.

According Dr Nsoh there were empirical evidences which showed that Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru achieved a lot in terms of development during his short stay in the Region as a Regional Minister.

He praised him for the achievements, stressing ?I will continue to build upon that to accelerate the pace of development of the area?.

Dr Nsoh therefore appealed to all citizens in the region including head of Departments to support him to accomplish that dream, and said he had already started meeting with the head of departments on how to help build the region.

In a welcome address, the Deputy Upper East Regional Minister, Mr Daniel Syme said the two Regional Ministers were both development oriented persons and expressed optimism that the region would benefit from the experience of Dr Nsoh.

He said the decision of Dr Nsoh to invite all the representatives of political parties including head of departments to the send-off party was a clear indication that he was somebody who would operate an open door administration.

Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru, who has been re-assigned to the Northern region, commended the head of departments including the Deputy Regional Minister and the Municipal and District Chief Executives in the region as well as other stakeholders for supporting him to perform his duties effectively during his tenure.

He however cautioned the leadership of the region to set good examples and make positive indelible marks for posterity while in office.

Alhaji Mohammed-Muniru told the people he had absolute confidence in his successor to continue with the development of the region as evidenced by his brief stay in the Upper West Region.

The out-gone Minister reiterated the need for the head of departments and all stakeholders to give the new Minister the maximum support they gave him during his tenure to turn the fortunes of the Region around.

The function which was well attended included dignitaries such as the two members of the Council of State, Messrs Adenze Kanga and Rt. Rev. Dr Jacob Ayeebo, Mr Donald Adabere Adabre, Ghana?s Ambassador to Mali, Municipal and District Chief Executives, District Coordinating Directors and Planners including the Clergy among others. GNA
