How important is the ‘end point examination’ of a corporate? What would be the benefit and utility of such examination and what is the meaning of ‘the end point’ of a corporate?

Follow the biology practical class of students of 6th or 7th standard of any nearby school so, you can understand it better. The students are taught how roots of the plants transport water and manure to different parts such as leaves, branches and flowers through an experiment. Stems of plants with preferably white flowers is collected and dipped into a bowl of red or blue coloured water. In about 2-3 hours, the accumulation of the colour can be noticed in the terminal portions of the flower petals.

The colour deposition can be seen only in the petals and, the same cannot be noticed either in leaves or branches of the same plant.

As far as the learning of the students about how water and nutrients are transported in plants is concerned, the above experiment completely and convincingly satisfies. But the experiment also tells its management message loud and clear to the corporate.

The message is that the corporate must know what nutrients of culture and values are getting transported to the employees of different levels by examining the end or terminal points. Only when the distal end of the flower petals is observed, the colour deposition can be seen.

Flowers represent the future of any plant while the leaves code the present. Although the colour would have been transported to the leaves and other parts of the plants as well by the roots, but the same cannot be seen or are expressed in those portions. It is mainly due to their continuous transporting property whereas, the petals of the flowers does not transport or translate the nutrients like a leaf or branches. Even in flower petals, only at the end point or the terminal region, the colour shade or accumulation can be seen.

The corporate has to identify the end pints to know what culture is getting transported. There are two end points the corporate has to examine or scrutinize viz.,

a) the top management
and
b) the employees at the lowermost level or cadre

The culture of the organization lies in top management like how nutrients and water are present only in the soil. The employees just below the top management function the role of the roots and what they transport stops at the employees at the lowermost cadre.

Use them as an indicator of your organizations’ health and let them truly reflect the culture and value of the organization to you. Accept the truth, that what they reflect is nothing but what is present in the ecosystem of the corporate ‘in abundance’. People in the different levels do transport such nutrients. Examine the corporate ecosystem which is nothing but the top management also the distal end of the top management – employees of the lowermost cadre.

Even a nursery school book or the rhyme can offer great management lessons to the corporate. Never ever carry the notion, that such insights can come only from ‘MBA pundits (scholars)’. All one need is ‘biology’ vision and with that one can govern, administer and prosper the organization.
