Acting captain of FK Jagodina has stated that his side weren’t ready for Asante Kotoko following their 5-0 thumping at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in an Anniversary match last Sunday.

According to the captain, they were on break when they were called to honour the game against the former Ghanaian Premier League champions.

On the day, despite the Serbian side coming to Ghana with a weaker side, the Ghanaian side had no mercy for them as they got walloped 5-0 with two goals from Eric Donkor and one each from Theophilus Nyame, Amos Frimpong and Dauda Mohammed.

And the Jagodina captain after the match said: “We were resting till February before we were asked to honour the match so weren’t ready for Kotoko.”
