Bafana Bafana

Former South Africa defender Themba Mnguni wants Shakes Mashaba?s side troops to work on their conversion rate against Ghana on Tuesday in a Group decider.

Bafana have been exhilarating to watch but have lacked the killer instinct to finish off opponents.

Mnguni, who played at the 1998 Fifa World Cup finals in France, says they must be clinical.

?Bafana did well against Algeria. As you saw, Algeria couldn?t cope with their playing style. We created so many chances but we didn?t take them,? Mnguni told Goal.

The 42-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns defender strongly believes that a lack of communication between defenders and both Darren Keet and Jackson Mabokgwane is one of the reasons Bafana have been leaking goals.

?Defenders must communicate. The communication between them and goalkeeper was not good (against Algeria and Senegal),? he added.

There must be comnunication between them. They must be organized and communicate at the back.

?We must fight to get the first goal and relieve the pressure. We must play with two natural strikers and play a straight 4-4-2 formation.? said Mnguni, who wants Bafana to start on the front foot against Ghana.
