?Sherri Shepherd is at the top of her game as she celebrates six years as a full-time co-host on ABC?s?The View. Now, as Barbara Walters exits the show after almost 18 years, the comedian and former actress reveals to?Closer?what she thinks will happen to the show, and her own future plans.

?My goal is to be the chocolate Betty White!? Sherri reveals in the new issue of?Closer Weekly, on stands now. She also admits, as her co-host Barbara prepares to leave?The View?this spring, she?ll be a bit lost without her mentor. ?I have no idea what I?m doing,? she tellsCloser?of Barbara?s exit. ?She is like my second mom. I didn?t have anybody when I came here, and it was Barbara who believed in me.?

And she?s grateful to Barbara for the support ? it?s the life lessons she gave Sherri over the years they worked together that got her to where she is now. ?Barbara taught me to ask the questions nobody will ask [and] she taught me to be curious about people, because if you?re curious about people, the questions will come,? Sherri tells?Closer.

So who will take Barbara?s place after her retirement? ?Nobody can fill her chair,? Sherri explains to?Closer. ?Barbara brought something different to the show because she created it.?The View?is her baby. Barbara is groundbreaking ? she started women breaking the glass ceiling and becoming serious journalists.?
