A final-year student of Wa T I Ahmadiyya Senior High School (Wa Amass) is fighting for his life following a violent altercation on campus Tuesday, July 22.

Iddrisu Ibrahim, known as Lincoln, sustained critical stab wounds during a confrontation with fellow final-year student Hafis, popularly called Baayaawa.

The incident began when Lincoln, a Year 3 Agricultural Science student from Bulenga, allegedly recorded Hafis without consent. Hafis, a Year 3 General Arts student from Bawku, demanded the video’s deletion. Witnesses report Lincoln refused, prompting Hafis to threaten him with a knife. When Lincoln reportedly dared him to act, Hafis allegedly stabbed him in the ribs and abdomen.

Hafis attempted to flee but was apprehended after police intervened, preventing retaliatory action by mobilized students. Lincoln collapsed near the school library after walking from the hostel with the knife still embedded in his body. “Students pulled it out before rushing him to hospital,” recounted a female eyewitness.

Lincoln remains in critical but stable condition at Wa Regional Hospital. Police have detained Hafis for questioning while investigations continue. School authorities have tightened campus security but have not yet issued an official statement.
