Vietnamese Deputy Minister of MoT Nguyen Nhat told Bao Giao Thong (Transport News) that, with chartered capital of some 800 billion Vietnamese dong (over 35.87 million U.S. dollars), Vietstar will transport both passengers and cargos.

airline-logoswdd2x-640x365.jpgIn the first five years of running business, the airline is scheduled to operate a fleet of three aircraft of Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 in the country’s north-south flight routes as well as those in the Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia.

The airline will transport cargos with first-ever specialized aircrafts in Vietnam, reported Bao Cong Thuong.

Vietstar Airlines is the economic unit of Vietnam Air Defense-Air Force, under Vietnamese Ministry of Defense, said VSA on its website.

Currently, there are four operational airlines across Vietnam including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific and Vasco. Other two airlines had licenses withdrawn including Indochina Airlines and Air Mekong. Enditem
